Theresa Gilbert LeLand, 63, of Riviera Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1960, to her loving parents Henry and Equilla Gilbert. Theresa touched the lives of many with her kindness, grace, and warm spirit.

Throughout her life, Theresa had a sense of compassion and character that was truly unmatched. Her ability to see the good in everyone and offer helping hand without hesitation made her a beloved figure in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Whether it was through a thoughtful gesture, a kind word, singing, dancing, joking around, or simply by being a listening ear; Theresa had a way of making others feel seen and valued…and she did it with a smile.

Theresa will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her surviving family members. Her one and only daughter, Sharetha Gilbert Walker, her granddaughters Laila Itayen, Nadia Itayen & Destanie Knowles, three great grandchildren Xena, Guyen, and Ricardo, three brothers Henry Lee Gilbert, Charlie Gilbert and Kenneth Gilbert, 4 sisters Betty Goldwire (Willie), Cassandra Gilbert, Equilla Gilbert & Shirley Gilbert and a host of nieces and nephews. She will always remain as an endearing loved one forever and always.

She found God at an no matter the circumstances she always trusted him and spread his word and wonders thru singing. She was employed 40+ years in between Webb's and Broadway Cleaner's off and on, known as the best presser in the community. She had a way of doing things, it was always her way. I'm sure no one will ever forget--Momma Pooh Pooh!!

In her passing, Theresa leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her. May she be at peace, knowing that she made the world a better place simply by being in it. Long live a LEGENDARY QUEEN
