Katey Pearl Thomas, August 4, 1942 – October 20, 2025. Katey Pearl Thomas, 83, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. Born in Leesburg, Florida, to Mary and Ernest Givens, she was a beloved sister to James and Robert Givens. Katey spent her early years in Albany, Georgia, before moving to Miami in the early 1960s, where she worked in business and clerical positions. In 1964, she settled in Palm Beach County, where she and her husband, William Thomas, raised their children — Tony “Craig,” Tammy, Dedra, and Dickey Thomas — in the West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach communities. Katey earned an associate degree in business and built a diverse career, holding positions at Solitron and RCA, and later managing her own family clothing store. She was a devoted member of Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Palm Beach. Affectionately known as “Momma Kate,” she was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her warmth, wisdom, and strength. Katey is survived by her children, Tony “Craig,” Tammy, Dedra, and Dickey; her brothers, James and Robert; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Ernest, and her husband, William Thomas.A service to celebrate Katey’s life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 1400 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 (Phone: 561-832-9783).
