Fitz Austrum aka “David”, 72, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, surrounded by family. Affectionately called David, he was lovingly welcomed into this world by his devoted parents, Byron Harewood and Elsie Austrum. Fitz was a beacon of warmth and kindness, touching the lives of many with his gentle spirit and infectious laughter.
Throughout his lifetime, Fitz gathered around him a remarkable tapestry of family and friends, all of whom enjoyed and cherished the moments shared with him. His unwavering love for those close to him will forever remain in their hearts. Those who were fortunate enough to know Fitz experienced his generosity, his wisdom, and his incredible ability to listen — a gift that made everyone feel valued and heard.
Fitz's life was marked by a profound sense of community, reflecting his commitment to fostering connections and creating an environment where love and friendship flourished. A visitation will be held in his honor on May 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Journey Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services in West Palm Beach, FL, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. As we gather to remember Fitz, let us celebrate the extraordinary life he lived—a life full of love, laughter, and an unbreakable bond with those he cherished.
